A new Counter-Strike 2 update was released today. The update does not bring many changes, but one of them can be described as historic. More specifically, it’s the end of the era of bombsite A boosts.
Until now, to get to the short from the CT side you had to run around bombsite A or ask a teammate to boost you on the crates right next to the spawn. In today’s update, another crate has been added that allows you to jump onto the short yourself at the same spot.
Change from a CT perspective
Adding the ability to self-boost to short on their own allows all players to reach their positions in optimal time, as the extra player no longer has to waste time in boosting a teammate.
Another advantage is another way to bounce A after placing a bomb. Until now, being on CT we had only one option to go to the bombsite alone, that is, to enter from the long. Starting today, you will be able to surprise your opponents by jumping into the added shortcut.
It is also worth looking at the change critically. Easier access to a site also makes it necessary to secure an additional route when defending that site.
Change from a TT perspective
On the side of the terrorists, the only convenience is the additional way to occupy the site and the possibility to surprise the opponent on A during the clutch.
It’s also worth noting that once the bomb is planted, the TT faces the same handicap as the CT, namely the handicap of holding bombsite A.
