It boasts new stage gimmicks, enemies, puzzles, and more to where it's closer to a complete overhaul with the same fundamental mechanics.

Plot

Sometime after the events of the original SpongeBob SquarePants Movie game, Mindy asks for SpongeBob's help yet again. At the same time, Patrick is dealing with a super ultra very deep depression. The two embark on a journey across various worlds to improve Patrick's mental state and solve the mystery behind Mindy's cry for help.
