Today’s World of Tanks 2.0 update is the biggest change in World of Tanks history! Get ready for a completely redesigned garage, changes to the sound system, a major vehicle rebalance, and most importantly new tier XI vehicles! In addition, many more changes have been made, which are described in detail on the game’s website.
Changes to the garage and interface
The garage has been transformed into a tank factory with many new features in addition to changes, and the biggest change to the interface is the move of the menu from the top of the screen to the left side.
The new “My Vehicles” screen allows you to sort vehicles in any way you want, in addition to allowing you to create lists of vehicles to share with friends.
The “About Vehicle” tab allows you to check all the vehicle characteristics you need. The biggest new feature is the armor inspector. Previously, you had to use external software to get such information. The new “My Vehicles” screen allows you to sort vehicles in any way you want, in addition to allowing you to create lists of vehicles to share with friends.

A thorough rebalancing of vehicles
All modules have been redesigned and some have been removed. This is expected to result in faster vehicle expo and improve the experience of playing with stock vehicles.
The change also reached light tanks, which received more strength points while maintaining their mobility.

Another group of changed vehicles are older premium tanks that have been upgraded to be more competitive with newer vehicles. These vehicles are:
- WZ-111,
- WZ-111 Alpine Tiger,
- FCM 50 t,
- Panzer 58,
- Schwarzpanzer 58,
- Panzer 58 Mutz,
- CS-52 C,
- T54 Heavy Tank,
- Object 590,
- WZ-114.
In addition, the prices of premium vehicles will be reduced, and premium IX tier vehicles will earn more credits.
Detailed information about the changes to the vehicles can be found on the game’s website: https://worldoftanks.eu/en/news/general-news/update-2-0-rebalance/.
New team selection system
The team selection system has been revamped to take into account not only what vehicles will be in battle, but also the fighting style of individual players.
One team will be able to include:
- A maximum of 6 tank destroyers (usually a maximum of 5),
- A maximum of 3 light tanks (including one wheeled tank),
- A maximum of 1 self-propelled gun.
In addition, the occurrence of the same vehicles in a team will be limited.
More battles will take place with a tier 1 difference, but there will still be battles with a tier 2 difference.
Changes to the system in addition to balancing teams will result in shorter waiting times for battles.
Operation Boiling Point and the new Nordskar map
The new PvE operation “Operation Boiling Point” will allow playing with tier XI vehicles against AI-controlled opponents. The missions will take place on the new Nordskar map, which is a summer map with a size of 1100 x 1100 meters.

The above map color-coded the locations for the types of vehicles:
- pink – heavy tanks,
- yellow – medium tanks,
- green – light tanks,
- blue – tank destroyers,
- purple – self-propelled guns.
