Starting June 7, 2022, Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition will be bundled into one game Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition. This is actually a package that will include both PC games in one launcher. The change only involves combining the games with one launcher, the games will still retain their individual features.
Due to the combination of games, only Minecraft: Java & Bedrock Edition will be available for purchase starting June 7.
Minecraft for free
Owners of Minecraft: Java Edition or Minecraft: Bedrock will get the other game for free if they do not own either of them. For example, a player who owns Minecraft: Java Edition will get Minecraft: Bedrock for free, the other way it works the same way. It may take 2-3 days for the free game to appear.
