Connect all the evidence and reconstruct what happened. Some murderers try to hide evidence from you - Use the flashlight to see the evidence even in the darkest corners.
You can interact with many things at the crime scene. But be careful, not every object is evidence, don't be misled. Trust your gut feeling to distinguish relevant objects from the others.
